How To Special: Become a host family for a young American!
The Parlamentarisches Patenschafts-Programm (PPP) (Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange) that is organizing one-year stays for students and young professionals from Germany in the US and vice versa, is looking for host families in the Berlin metropolitan area for a period of at least four months. You will receive financial support or be reimbursed for cost of food.
The German-American exchange program was established on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the first immigration of a German citizen to the US by the German Bundestag and American Congress. Every participant will be sponsored by one member of the German Bundestag.
If you are interested in taking in one young person from the US and help him or her to learn the German language and get to know German everyday life, please refer to Martina Meyer of the InWEnt gGmbH Regionales Zentrum Berlin und Brandenburg, Lützowufer 6-9, 10785 Berlin, Tel.: 030 - 254 82 - 212 or -223 (Monday to Friday 9am to12 noon) for further information or write an email to martina.meyer@inwent.org.
