And who cares about an accent! But I have to tell you, and your girlfriends, that's pretty easy to forget a few words even though you'll talk German with your hubby. The words are definitly not gone but they are so far back in your mind that you'll need a few seconds to find them - you will be so used to the english version. For example - we don't use "Kuehlschrank" anymore at all because "fridge" is so much more in our mind. Sometimes it's really funny when we are together with all our German friends and it's still a mix between our native language and some english words! ;) It's not something that happens right away but it will happen, believe me ;) You’ll be fine – your English is awesome!
