Halloween 2012
This year we celebrated our second Halloween here in the US. Since we both are not really fans of dressing up and partying, we celebrated Halloween a little bit different: We celebrated by visiting Haunted Attractions. We are both big fans of the Horror Movie Genre and like all things creepy and weird. We started our Haunted season with a visit to the Haunted Hayride. We visited that Attraction for the first time last year and absolutely loved it. The Haunted Hayride is located at the Old LA Zoo in the Middle of Griffith Park. You are actually being pulled through a very creppy dressed up old Zoo on a Hay Wagon. Besides the Hayride they also have a Side Show and a super dark and fun Maze, which not only made me scream like a Baby but also gave us all some amazing laughs.
A week later Flo went to the Halloween Horror Nights at the Universal Studios. I had tickets to a concert that night, so I couldn’t go. And maybe that was for the best, since it was extremely crowded and Flo basically left after standing in line for the Terror Tram for nearly two hours. This Friday we ended our 2012 Halloween Season with a kind of spontanious visit to the Blumhouse of Horrors. If you like Horror movies and Mazes you definitely need to see this. The Blumhouse of Horrors is a House sized Maze located in a closed theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. The concept is made by the Producers of Paranormal Activity and for example Inisidious and is absolutely insane. You are being put into 12-people-groups to walk through this multi story theatre and the thrill of it is fantastic. This Maze is amazingly detailed and super creepy. But be aware: The actors in here are allowed to touch you!
Los Angeles is an absolute awesome place to be around if you are into Halloween scares and creepy places. We will definitely try some more Haunted Attractions next year!

People always ask us things like “How does it feel to actually live in Hollywood” or “You must be spending all your time at the beach”. Well, actually living in LA for the most part feels like living in most other cities in the world: You have your everyday work life and sadly sometimes get so caught up in it that you forget to enjoy the good sides of the city you live in. This weekend Flo and I realized that lately we have been more than caught up in our daily lifes and decided to only do things we really wanna do this weekend. And the first point on our list was for sure going to the beach.
The Halloween season has been in full spring for quite a time over here already, but today Flo and I did our first Halloween activity. We went to the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride. The Hayride happens every year in the old Los Angeles Zoo, which is located in Griffith Park. Like the name already gives away it’s a Hayride. You sit on a Hay-carriage and get pulled by a tractor. But for sure you don’t get pulled through a field. The tour goes through the empty old zoo that now is full of scary people and amazing build horror sceneries. We had a lot of fun on the ride, got quite a few scares and were even an attraction for the actors I guess, because one of our friends was screaming like a lunatic.
