The transit visa (C-1/D Visa) is for foreign nationals who work for an airline or a shipping company and regularly travel to the US by plane or ship, or transit through the U.S. to a third country.

The C-1/D visa is not interchangeable with the B-1/B-2 category.

The Diversity Visa Program (the so-called green card lottery) is implemented by the State Department in application of § 203 (c) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
All applications must be submitted directly to the US State Department online within a short and an annually re-defined period of time.
The US State Department does not charge any fee for the application. A service fee is only payable to The American Dream for processing the application. The American Dream is an approved agency (according to § 1 AuswG, Federal German Law).
